Event Description:
Celebrating International Women's Day: GIVE TO GAIN

This International Women’s Day, we invite you to come together to celebrate, uplift, and champion the women who shape our world. Join us for a vibrant brunch where you’ll connect with fellow advocates for equity and inclusion while enjoying meaningful conversations and delicious food.

The event will feature a dynamic panel powered by both WEtech Alliance and Libro Credit Union, bringing together women entrepreneurs and business leaders from across various sectors to share insights and experiences. Panelists and the moderator will be announced in the coming weeks, adding to the anticipation of an inspiring discussion. You’ll also hear from Erika Harris, EHS Senior Specialist with BASF, who shares an inspiring story about prioritizing work-life balance in every decision.

Adding a touch of humor and warmth, local comediennes Jen Moysiuk, the voice behind Mom Said Duck, and Jill Richardson will serve as emcees, guiding us through a celebration that honors achievement, leadership, and community spirit.

This year, we’re proud to partner with Welcome Centre Shelter for Women & Families, a provider in Windsor of emergency shelter services for women and families with minor children, operating 24/7 with evidence based, housing focused supports. Guests are asked to bring one item to donate to help support their mission. If you’re unsure what to bring, high need items include:

  • New underwear/socks. New or gently used pajamas/slippers.
  • Unopened hygiene products (especially shampoo, conditioner, deodorant), razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste.
  • Diapers (sizes 4–6), wipes, formula.
  • Cleaning supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes), OTC medicines (Tylenol/Ibuprofen/Tums/cough drops).
Donations will be collected at check in. To explore the full wish list or give online, visit the Shelter’s Ways to Give page: Ways to Give. Guests will enjoy networking opportunities, the chance to win a prize pack, and the opportunity to give back—living the spirit of GIVE TO GAIN while supporting women and families across Windsor Essex.
